Silent Movie Composing Camp: Create the Soundtrack!

Step into the world of old Hollywood and become a real composer for the silver screen! In this one-of-a-kind camp, young musicians will discover the magic of silent movies — and the power of music to bring them to life.

Throughout the week, campers will:

Explore the history of silent films and the art of live accompaniment.

Learn how to create moods, characters, and action scenes through music.

Experiment with keyboards, percussion, and sound effects to build their scores.

Work together in small groups to compose original soundtracks for classic silent film clips.

The camp ends with a Silent Movie Night Showcase, where families are invited to a special screening of silent films — with live performances of the campers’ original compositions!
